Description: What has been learned from the investigations following the deadly Charleston Sofa Super Store Fire of June 18, 2007? How did the building construction, occupancy, private and public protection impact the outcome of the deadliest single fire event for firefighters since 9/11? This session will discuss what went tragically wrong before and during the fire that resulted in the deaths of nine firefighters with an emphasis on how this could have been prevented.
