Description: Addressing lost time cases has historically not been the role of SH&E professionals. With the rising costs of lost time claims, aging workforce and claim duration, the safety and health professional can aid the organization in implementing a strategic program that incorporates ergonomics, supervisor training and responsibility, enhanced communication and decreased workers’ compensation costs while changing the organization’s culture. This session is designed to demonstrate the role and impact that safety and health professionals can play within their organization impacting lost time cases and developing a return to work culture.
