Description: The OSHA PSM Standard mandates that firms with covered processes implement a 14-point program. On June 28, 2009, OSHA announced they will begin a one-year pilot of a Chemical National Emphasis Program targeting workplaces that could release highly hazardous chemicals. One element of the PSM standard involves a compliance audit once every three years. This program will involve a review of common findings noted during the performance of 40 such audits for 15 different companies.
