Description: We are often thrown into management too soon and we either muddle through or fail. We know safety and people but when it comes to managing we often struggle. In business we have to separate the personal from business. As the adage goes, “It’s not personal… It’s just business.” In managing people, the converse is often true, “It’s not business… It’s just personal.” Balancing the two can be daunting. Using some of the standard management theory we can apply this to managing people.
