612 Effective Risk Assessment in TA, JHA, WMS, Take 5 and Incident Investigation (I)

Instructor: James F. Whiting, P.E., CPE, Risk@Workplaces Pty. Ltd., Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Description: This session describes how more effective risk assessments can be applied to day-to-day safety management processes to ultimately ensure that they achieve more reliable, consistent results. Risk estimations using semi-quantitative L*C matrix methods can be made more rigorous. An investigation of an actual fatal incident will illustrate the successful links between decision-making and risk assessments.
