Description: An understanding of walking can assist the safety professional in identifying situations, environments and conditions that may increase an individual’s likelihood of falling. The effects of aging, distraction, footwear and other factors on gait will be discussed. Case studies will be presented illustrating how such factors may affect fall risk.
